CountDown
COME THE END OF THE LOCKDOWN, GET READY FOR THE COUNTDOWN!
We anxiously await the large-scale spring conference of the TEDxDanubia Countdown program series full of exciting talks and presentations, at which we look forward to seeing everyone to whom climate awareness really matters. If you are interested in unconventional solutions, methods and means that experts, NGOs, individuals, companies and even schoolchildren are fighting shoulder to shoulder with, here, in Hungary and abroad, for a greener and more sustainable future, you too must join us at the Event on 20 September, 2021!
We would like to thank our partner in the Hungarian implementation of the program series, Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation and our professional partners, E.ON Hungária Group and MVM for their contribution.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED SO FAR?
The activation program envisioned by TEDxDanubia and MVM called ‘Action Circles powered by MVM’ has been launched with the aim of providing a platform for those who want to take action. Individuals and groups who have applied can now share their steps and experiences with each other and participate as co-creators in the shaping of the spring conference. We can learn about their exciting projects and the results they have achieved on 20st September 2021.
A completely unique climate education initiative for high school students has also been successfully launched under the title ‘Future design program powered by MVM.’ In the framework of the Sci-fi future planning program created with the professional support of MVM, Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation and the Hungarian Food Bank Association, youngsters and their mentors can work together on problems that threaten to critically impact our future. We can get to know a lot about their challenges and solutions at the May event.
The video competition launched under the name’ XPLN powered by E.ON’ has successfully ended. Participants well-familiar with the ins and outs of the digital world were given the chance to talk about climate issues in their short, striking videos.
WHAT IS ‘COUNTDOWN?’
The global initiative launched by TED explores solutions to the climate crisis worldwide with a multitude of expert platforms. Hungary also joined the initiative through TEDxDanubia Countdown, which in 2020-21 is fully dedicated to the topic of climate awareness and individual responsibility: through a series of programs rich in creative ideas, we promote environmental awareness and encourages action in all segments of society.
Countdown is a global initiative by TED, to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate
crisis, turning ideas into action. The initiative's goal is to identify compelling responses, and
to activate the solutions by connecting citizens directly with our business and political leaders.
